Accountant

Job Description

As an Accountant, you you will be responsible for preparing financial statements, managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and assisting with audits. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a thorough understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to communicate financial information effectively.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and statements
• Perform general ledger accounting and ensure accuracy in all accounts
• Handle accounts payable and receivable
• Perform bank reconciliations and prepare cash flow reports
• Prepare and submit tax returns, ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws
• Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes
• Maintain financial data integrity and confidentiality
• Support external audits and resolve discrepancies as needed
• Stay updated on financial regulations and best practices

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required)
• Proven experience as an accountant or similar financial role (3+ years of experience preferred)
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar tools)
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
