Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing the online fundraising strategy for community engagement and income generation and will be hands in the roll out, monitoring and evaluation of online fundraising campaigns. S/he will also be responsible for the communications strategy for the organization.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Content generation: pro-active finding, organizing and managing news and information and
- stories that are used for both online and offline external communications and fundraising.
- Writing stories driven by fundraising needs.
- Building and maintaining network of useful external contacts in countries and regions
- Emuring that SOS Children’s Villages brand (incl. visum, mission, values ett), relevant policies/guidelines of our organization (eg. on protecting children’s privacy), are adhered to and providing course where necessary on brand communication and policy requirements.
- messaging, and monitoring of ad campaigns, search engine marketing and optimization, and email marketing,
- Develop and implement online marketing acquisition strategy escluding medis planning, creative development,
- Develop and implement an email marketing program to include newsletters, planned appesis, and emergency response
- Develop and monitor online marketing budget for effective ROI geared towards meeting the association’s acquisition quals
- role involves occasional travel to count within the region as well as within Sri Lanka
EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor Degree in Communications, Marketing, Business Management or a related discipline is preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience of working in corporate/not for profit sector communications and digital fund raising
- Demonstrated thorough knowledge of not for profit sector digital marketing
- Thorough knowledge of Social Media (Facebook, Linkedin, Twitter, Instagrami
- Ability to work within tight time lines and excellent presentation skills.
- Ability to travel extensively within the country and internationally as needed
- Exceptional writing and speaking skills in English and Sinhalese. Tamil language would be an added advantage
